Beck’s 1st Christmas Program/Party

Beck’s 1st Christmas Program/Party

Beck’s school had a Christmas program this past Friday. Each class was paraded out in front of the parents with their handmade hats. The bigger kids came out and sang songs, but B’s class and the infant room just waved to everyone. They were adorable! After the program, we went back to his classroom for a snack. Beck loved all of it and so did we!

Month 14 (a little late)

Month 14 (a little late)

Month 14 and Month 15 (so far) have been super busy! Beck spent a week and a half with Hand, Foot and Mouth, aka Not Fun! After getting over that we celebrated Thanksgiving, I went to camp for 3 days with my kids at school, and I don’t think we have stopped since then.

Here are the details of Month 14 for Mr. Beck….

-weighs 27.7 lbs; wears 18-24 months and 2Ts

-he is sporting 4 bottom teeth and 2 upper teeth

he has quite a bit of blonde hair and killer blue eyes

-talks and talks and talks about everything

-he says: momma, dada, da (dog), ma-e (Maddie), nigh nigh, car, read, red, book, boo, door, ah-choo, ah-abod (all aboard), ut-oh, he said Pods once (my dad), he can tell you what a cow says, a horse says, a bird says, a lion says, tree, ruf ruf

-he loves songs and has learned the hand motions to a few at school

-walks to his room when you say it is time for night night or a diaper change

-loves his blankie and pacifier right now (pacifier is now only at bed times and emergency times–he just loves it!)

-has discovered the dvd player in the car, boy is that good for me!

-learning to parallel play with his friends at school

-his favorite things to get into are my bathroom drawer and the pantry

-pats the Christmas tree and really doesn’t mess with it at all

-when he saw me putting the tree skirt on the tree he said nigh nigh to the tree because he thought it was the tree’s blanket (it is quilted)

-love, loves, loves flags—every mornig with Jesse, and every afternoon with me we have to stop outside of his school to stare at the flag

-loves to go outside

He is such a sweet, sweet boy. He just melts my hear every day I pick him up from school and he runs to me and gives me a big hug. This is probably my favorite stage right now because he is so incredibly funny and surprises us with what he know every day! We just love our little man!

-thinks riding on the real “golf car” is the coolest

-still runs to mimi before mommy! he is obcessed

-daddy is for sure his hero

-sits in the regular bath tub, no more baby tub

Beck is at such a wonderful stage right now. He is just soaking up everything he can. He is always trying to repeat us and talks on and on about who knows what. I love that books are so important to him. He points and talks about each page. He is so cute when he crawls into your lap with a book. We are having a blast! Somes days are challenges, but every day is a blessing!

We are so thankful to have a healthy growing boy!

State Fair of Texas October 2011

State Fair of Texas October 2011

We took Beck to the fair last weekend. He has now been two times. We took him last year and he slept the ENTIRE time. This year he was awake for most of it:) Our first stop was the Bob the Builder exhibit at the Natural Science Musuem. Beck LOVED it! It was the key to his happiness at the fair. Beck was able to play will tractors, build fake walls, use play hammers, and build things with Legos. He was all smiles:) Our next stop was food. Beck tried a Fletcher’s corn dog and loved it. I was out of the crazy fried stuff, but Jesse and my dad did their fair share of eating some intersting things. We were so thankful for the nice weather and Beck seemed to enjoy himself.

After walking around, Beck passed out for the end of our fair trip. Here are some pics of B’s time at the fair….

We had such a great time at the fair this year! I know Beck will have more fun each year as he gets older!

Touch-a-Truck

Touch-a-Truck

Yesterday, we joined the Dotsons at the Touch-a-Truck event. This is where kids come see many different types of trucks/cars–garbage trucks, fire trucks, police car, FedEx truck, limo, old school Ford trucks. Beck and Knox played in all the different trucks and cars. Beck was really only interested in the steering wheels, but it was still fun for him. Knox, on the other hand, was probably a little bit more interested since he can verbalize what we were looking at. Next year, the boys will be running around together and talking about all the trucks! It was a fun event and we enjoyed spending time with the Dotsons.

B is definitely all boy! He loves anything with wheels:)
