the simple things

I was reminded this last week of how blessed I am with family,friends, a wonderful husband and a beautiful place to call home. Sometimes I think we go through the days and forget to see all the wonderful things that God has created for us and made possible for us. It is because of him and his love for us that we are able to enjoy the wonderul things in life.

“…And I pray that you being rooted and established in love, may have the power together will all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge; that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God…”

Catherine Gets Married!

Catherine Gets Married!

Last weekend Jesse and I attended a beautiful ceremony for Catherine and Calvin. We felt so blessed to be a part of their big day. It was an intimate ceremony that touched everyone that was there. Catherine and I have had some wonderful times together over the past 12 years. Jesse and I are looking forward to spending time with the newly married couple! Congrats to the Jesters!!

Vail, CO

We took a few days off of work to go visit my uncle’s new home in Vail. We had such a wonderful time relaxing and hanging out with our cousins. We are so thankful to have such wonderful family. My uncle’s place is amazing with the most beautiful view. Jesse enjoyed snowboarding each day. The girls enjoyed the spa, shopping, and some relaxation. It was nice to get away from the house remodel for a few days. We had such an amazing time!

Our New House (still a work in progress!)

Our New House (still a work in progress!)

We have made huge headway on our house. It has taken me so long to put up pics because I want everyone to see it done! We have been working so hard to get everything remodeled and fixed to be “ours.”

Our proudest accomplishment is our kitchen/ family room/ dining room because it has had the biggest face lift. The only thing we have left to do is the back splash and framing out the walls we knocked out. Oh and my beautiful plantation shutters that are soon to come. It turned out so much better than we had expected. As soon as we get some furniture to fill both of our living rooms our place will really feel finished. Our dining room furniture is coming from Stef and Joe, but for now it is our kitchen table from Kelle. We also just finished our half bath which we gave a funky limish green color with black and white accents. Our plan is to remodel both of the bathrooms on the bedroom side of the house before May. Our house is really starting to feel like home to us. We can’t wait for everyone to come see it….but we have more work to complete and a construction zone to clean up before we have guests!
