Jesse and I made a quick trip to Austin a few weeks ago. We have been wanting to do a so called “Tour de Austin” and stay in hotels that we have never been to.  Last time we stayed at Hotel San Jose and this time we stayed at the Driskill. If you stay in a Curio room it is only $75 off of Travelocity…what a steal! You can’t get much better than staying right on 6th street in a very elegant, very old hotel. Our room was small, but luxurious. On our quick vaca we had to get some good ole Mexican food from Matt’s El Rancho and then we watched the bats come out from under the Congress bridge. Our less than 24 hour trip was a nice getaway and made us realize how much we really do love and miss Austin.
