Boys Trip-Feb. 2012

Boys Trip-Feb. 2012

Jesse and Beck went to Colorado to visit his parents before they make their move on to Kansas. While the big boys all went snowboarding, Beck got to hang on with his Nanny all weekend. I am sure they are having a blast! This was Beck’s first time on the airplane. I wasn’t there, but was so nervous! I should have known that Beck would do great. They got lucky and had the entire row on the airplane to themselves. Jesse said that Beck didn’t cry at all. He loved watching Rio and Cars 2 on Jesse’s tablet. He also played with his colors and shapes flashcards. First plane ride=SUCCESS!

I am so glad that Jesse and Beck were able to take this mini-vacay. It also left me a little down  time to relax and reenergize! I was able to get all of Beck’s valentines for his friends and teachers done for their party on Tuesday. I also cleaned closets, sold some of B’s clothes to a resale shop, read my book, sat on the couch, and even managed to watch a movie! I am so ready for them to come home, but I think we all had a nice time!

Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!

Christmas 2011

Christmas 2011

I am catching up on my blogging! We had such a wonderful Christmas this year with ALL the family. Jesse’s family was here the entire week before, so we were able to spend a lot of time with them before Christmas and on Christmas Eve at Josh and Laura’s house. On Christmas Eve we started out at my parent’s house with my dad’s parents, my aunt and uncle, and my cousin Jonah. Beck had a blast with Jonah! They giggled all afternoon! Next  stop was Josh and Laura’s house. B was passed out on their bed by 7:15. We had fun with the family playing Catch Phrase.

Christmas day was all about B! My parents and Jesse’s parents got to spend Christmas morning with Beck at our house. He was so excited to see his new chair and books. After this we headed to my parent’s to spend Christmas with my brother and Angee and my mom’s mom. We loved opening all the gifts and watching Beck be so excited about what was next. He was especially thrilled about the red wagon. Stop #2 was my Uncle Randy’s house. All the grandbabies were playing together–Caitlin 3 years old, Reagan 16 months, Peyton 12 months. Beck is mesmerized by all the girls! We finalized our day at home.

We are so blessed to have been able to see all of our family this Christmas. It means a lot to Jesse and I for Beck to get to see all his grandparents and aunts and uncles. In all the craziness, we were still able to take some time to realize the real meaning of Christmas….Happy Birthday, Jesus!

There are so many more pictures, I could go on and on! Beck loved leaving food for the reindeer, he had to try it before he left it for them. He also adored the basketball goal and all his millions of toys! It is safe to say he is spoiled!

Beck’s 1st Christmas Program/Party

Beck’s 1st Christmas Program/Party

Beck’s school had a Christmas program this past Friday. Each class was paraded out in front of the parents with their handmade hats. The bigger kids came out and sang songs, but B’s class and the infant room just waved to everyone. They were adorable! After the program, we went back to his classroom for a snack. Beck loved all of it and so did we!

Month 14 (a little late)

Month 14 (a little late)

Month 14 and Month 15 (so far) have been super busy! Beck spent a week and a half with Hand, Foot and Mouth, aka Not Fun! After getting over that we celebrated Thanksgiving, I went to camp for 3 days with my kids at school, and I don’t think we have stopped since then.

Here are the details of Month 14 for Mr. Beck….

-weighs 27.7 lbs; wears 18-24 months and 2Ts

-he is sporting 4 bottom teeth and 2 upper teeth

he has quite a bit of blonde hair and killer blue eyes

-talks and talks and talks about everything

-he says: momma, dada, da (dog), ma-e (Maddie), nigh nigh, car, read, red, book, boo, door, ah-choo, ah-abod (all aboard), ut-oh, he said Pods once (my dad), he can tell you what a cow says, a horse says, a bird says, a lion says, tree, ruf ruf

-he loves songs and has learned the hand motions to a few at school

-walks to his room when you say it is time for night night or a diaper change

-loves his blankie and pacifier right now (pacifier is now only at bed times and emergency times–he just loves it!)

-has discovered the dvd player in the car, boy is that good for me!

-learning to parallel play with his friends at school

-his favorite things to get into are my bathroom drawer and the pantry

-pats the Christmas tree and really doesn’t mess with it at all

-when he saw me putting the tree skirt on the tree he said nigh nigh to the tree because he thought it was the tree’s blanket (it is quilted)

-love, loves, loves flags—every mornig with Jesse, and every afternoon with me we have to stop outside of his school to stare at the flag

-loves to go outside

He is such a sweet, sweet boy. He just melts my hear every day I pick him up from school and he runs to me and gives me a big hug. This is probably my favorite stage right now because he is so incredibly funny and surprises us with what he know every day! We just love our little man!
