*Beck 2.5 and Chance 1 month
Happy Balentine’s Day, as Beck would say! Beck LOVED Valentine’s day and had so much fun making valentines at school and at home. We went to his party at school. This is age is so fun. All of his friends at school enjoyed exchanging Valentine’s and eating fun snacks. My favorite photo was from that evening when Chance and Beck were laying on the floor. Hope your V-day was filled with lots of LOVE!!!
(oops I am a little bit behind!) I am an AUNT!! My brother and his wife just welcomed Nixon Grey Webb to the world. He was born on Jan. 24th (20 days after Chance). He has a full head of blonde hair and is just the cutest little thing.
Nixon and Chance….Beck was being silly and rolled out of the pic:)
Chance’s 2 week stats: (January 18th, 2013)
Height: 21.5 (75%)
Weight: 7lbs 8oz (24%)
Head: 14 1/4 (30%)
Chance is growing! The doc says that he is lookin’ good. He eats every 3-4 hours and sleeps most of the time in between. He is having some tummy troubles, but is otherwise figuring everything out!
Here are some pics from the last 2 weeks….
Chance Webb Lyon was born at 38 weeks 2 days. He weighed 7lbs 5oz and was 19.5 inches long. It wasn’t the easiest c-section ever without an epidural, but we made it through and have a wonderful baby boy to show for it!
He was able to go back to the high-risk room immediately with Jesse while my surgery was finished. My mom, dad, and Aunt Angee were there to welcome him to the world! I came back into the room in a tremendous amount of pain that lasted for a long time until they could get pain medicine in me. We stayed in the high-risk room for 24 hours until I was off the Magnesium and my blood pressure was down. Later Saturday, we were moved to regular room where I was able to spend a little more time with Chance.
We stayed at the hospital until Tuesday and then made our way home to start our life as a family of 4!
I am behind on blogging since I was not feeling well before giving birth to Chance on the 4th. Christmas 2012 came and went so quickly. Beck LOVED every minute of it! Here are just a few of the millions of photos we took. I am so glad that I was able to give Beck one last Christmas as an only child. He is still singing Christmas songs today.
Baby Chance update:
*weighing in at 5lbs 13 oz. (as of last week, this was 4 days ahead of me)
*he continues to be head down, i am pretty sure he has been this way since week 12.
*belly measurements finally caught up to the rest of his little body
*his birthday could be soon….our appointment dates are Dec. 20th, 27th, 31st and finally Jan. 9th. We are praying that he can cook until Jan. 9th where I will have a scheduled c-section; however, we are prepared (as of last week) for him to be taken out on any of these dates. The moment I step into her office and my blood pressure while laying down doesn’t go down, then it is go time. I would love to make it to Dec. 31st, so that I can be at home during Christmas and watch Beck enjoy Santa!
*We play the waiting game from here on out. Our bags are in the car ready to go. I am so thankful to have my parents close by so they can grab B from school on whatever day this little man comes. I am also so thankful that B can be at school during the week right now. I would not be able to rest or give him the attention that he needs and deserves to have. I do look forward to each afternoon when he comes homes. He is hilarious right now!! He still wants Chance to “stay right in there,” but I am sure he will love having a birth-day party for him in the hospital. He has a cute little toy to give Chance and Chance will have a toy to give his big brother. I still can’t believe I am going to be blessed with another little man. This is surreal.
*One last note: I am so thankful for the friends and neighbors that have brought food, magainzes, and goodies to keep us going during this time of bed rest. Jesse also deserves a huge award for putting up with me being at home while he is trying to work and taking over most of the “mom” duties for B.
I will update more later this week, until then you can find me on my couch:)
Here is what Beck has been up to…..
*running, skipping, jumping, playing, helping, being silly, oh and so much more!!
